Learn how to find out what tests your children are taking and their score

Renaissance Home Connect

Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are pleased that you have the ability to use Renaissance Home Connect as a way of monitoring and encouraging

your child's reading practice. We are confident that you'll find it to be a valuable tool for monitoring your child's

progress. Research confirms that parental involvement in a child's education is a strong predictor of student

achievement. Thank you for your involvement in your child's education.

Sincerely,

Madison City Schools

Please Note: Your student's teacher can provide you with your child's user name and password if your child cannot remember their log in information.

Renaissance Home Connect

Renaissance Home Connect is the quickest way to check your child's Accelerated Reader progress and get up-todate

information. Follow the link on your school's home page under the Media Center for Renaissance Home

Connect or set the following link up as a favorite on your computer:

https://Hosted9.renlearn.com/1355888/HomeConnect/login.aspx

Enter your student's

username and password.

This is the one they use at

school to take an AR test.

This page will let you see progress on goals, the

last quiz your student took, and find AR books.

Quickly see how your student is doing on

accuracy, how many points they need to make

their goal, and the average book level in which

they have been testing.

Setting up E-mail Notices

This feature will send you an e-mail every time your student takes a test.

What Books Has My Student Read?

At the top of the page, click on

"Email Setup."

Complete the

information and

click "Add." This will

send you an e-mail

to confirm. If you

need to remove an

e-mail address,

click "Remove" next

to the person in the

list. When you are

finished adding emails,

click "Done"

to take you back to

the home screen.

Click on "View My Bookshelf" under the "My Last Quiz" information to see

the books your student has read. You can sort by "Date Taken" or "Title"

and view all the books your student has read in their AR career.

How to Find AR Books and Quizzes

AR BookBag

On the bottom right hand corner of the home page, you will find the link to

AR BookFinder. It will open in a new tab or window. There are 3 tabs:

Quick Search (when you know what book you're looking for), Advanced

Search (for creating lists by AR level or interest), and Collections (awards

lists, etc.) The middle of the page has a link to "A Parent's Guide to AR

BookFinder" for more information.

As you view your search results, click on "Add to

AR BookBag" to create a list of books you are

interested in. This will let you print a list you can

take with you to the bookstore, public library, or

your student's school library to help guide your

student's choices.
